Institution Summary

Opened in 2008, the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre is the largest cancer centre in Scotland and conducts research into the basic biology of cancer.

The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre is the lead centre for non-surgical cancer care for the West of Scotland region and works with 16 hospitals in Glasgow and other health board areas, making the centre the busiest in the UK in terms of clinical activity and patient numbers.

The centre is part of the Cancer Research UK Glasgow Centre, working in partnership with the University of Glasgow, CRUK Beatson Institute, and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
