Institution Summary
The Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria (IIS) has been a part of the Fundación Jiménez Díaz University Hospital since 2009. At IIS, the healthcare, research, and teaching that takes place supports the aim of bringing advancement and research to clinical practice.
The Cancer Research Area at IIS combines three areas of research: basic, applied, and clinical, to focus on cancer prevention and diagnosis, increasing patients' recovery rate and quality of life. IIS serves as a partner and consortium member of the Sarcoma European-Latin American Network (SELNET) project.
